Callie and Brock were finding lots of treasures on the shore. We stayed here three nights and the Sheffields stayed two. On our second night we heard a knock on the door at midnight. One of the workers was holding Chael! And he was outside and not asleep in bed! Turns out, he walked the crazy unsafe stairs all the way down to the pool, in the dark and was standing in the pool on the step crying. He had scraped his foot a little on his journey. I think the salt water pool made it sting. It was the saltiest pool we've ever been in. Comparable to the ocean. A worker just happened to be out checking on things and heard him crying! We were so shocked! We learned that we can lock the door from the inside and put the key away to keep children safe inside. We were extremely grateful that Chael was okay and no serious harm happened. He had fallen asleep early and was on the first floor with Callie, Brock and Dash. He woke up and was looking for us. Poor thing! He slept up stairs with us the last night.
On one of my runs on this little island I took a few pictures with my phone. It's over a mile to the yellow bridge from our bungalow. There was music playing at the temples from a mega phone. It sounded like Indian/Arabic music. The temples are in courtyards or out door areas. I was surprised that they blared music so early in the morning but it was throughout the island. The people are very friendly and the children are soooo cute.
