Christmas Story and White Elephant Party

Christmas Party at our place! It worked out best to do a little "Christmas Eve" dinner party on Sunday. Wednesday was Christmas day. We had Brian's favorite for dinner--Build Your Own Tacos. Mexican themed dinner is becoming a tradition for Christmas Eve. It was a lovely spread and people help bring the toppings and desserts.

Jade, Eme, Maren, Mali, Luke and Noe. Chael, Dash Brock and Callie.

Brian narrated the Christmas story from Luke while the children acted it out. We had a few animals in there. And Brock was baby Jesus this year. Maren, Dash and Chael were wise men from the East. Luke was Joseph and Noe was Mary. Mali was the angel and Eme? I forgot. Callie was the donkey. Jade usually likes to be an elephant. But she was something else here. Well done children!

Another tradition, the White Elephant Party! It's an entertaining gift exchange and this year was no exception. Susan's gift was women's underwear with butt pads to make your bum look bigger. !!!! AWEsome. How can you read that and not laugh out loud right there. Danny was the lucky one and got to take that one home.

The newly weds! Elizabeth and Matthew Morris.

                         Fai rockin the Super-Man apron.

Dawn with a new set of tea cups!

Most Creative White Elephant Gift: goes to Fai! A Sushi kit! A real but dead fish, some seaweed and soy sauce. Hahaha!!!

Wonder Woman and Superman. They can thank Brian and myself for such awesome aprons. Paul was torn between a really cool scarf and the Superman apron. I think David ended up with Superman in the end. Good times!
