Getting to Lembongan Island

Ferrying to Lembogan--Nusa Penida Island.

We arrived in Bali on Wednesday, Christmas day, and on Sunday went to church, met Steven's cousin and her husband at church (who also live in China) and then traveled to Nusa Penida. We took a 45-minute ferry from a little port to Lembongan Island. After the the boat ride we took a truck to a certain point where we had to get out and walk across a bridge where another truck picked us up and took us a mile up the narrow pot-holed roads to our destination. It definitely feels adventurous being on this rural and somewhat untouched little island. There are no taxis and shops. Just a few places to stay where they have a little restaurant. You can rent scooters and get around that way.

Final truck of the trek. Others on scooters were in search of Secret Beach which is the beach our bungalow hotel was at. We had no idea!
